This drive was developed according to the specifications of the development engineers of Audreal with the aim to realize the best possible sound of a CD. Accordingly, the system is, of course, based on the legendary top-loading CD-PRO2LF mechanism from Philips, which is already used in some high-end devices. The power supply consists of two high-quality ring core transformers which, correspondingly shielded, minimize interference and ensure the best possible stable data stream from the CD. A 2mm thick steel plate and a comprehensive shock-absorbing construction, which also includes the feet, ensure the necessary restraint.Since the CDT is a pure drive and the signals only digital are output, the congenial partner from the Audreal reference series is recommended at this point, the DAC, which, with its optional tube output, performs the excellent listening pleasure.
